Before choosing products, map the moments that matter. A shared plan makes it easier to see what is needed, who owns the decisions and what must be ready by each date.
1. Put the year on one page.
List events, new-starter periods, uniform refreshes, recognition moments and seasonal gifting. Record the in-hand date, location and audience for each. Include time for approvals and delivery rather than treating the event date as the production deadline.
2. Give each moment a clear job.
Is the aim to identify staff, welcome an employee, equip a team or give attendees something to keep? The answer helps narrow the range before you compare products.
3. Build a useful brief.
Bring your estimated quantities, sizes, brand artwork and budget. Note how the products will be handed out, whether personalisation is needed and who will approve the final proof.
4. Separate repeat essentials from special pieces.
Choose a consistent core range for uniforms and replenishment. Add occasion-specific items where they serve a purpose, rather than starting the whole selection again for every order.
5. Agree the route to delivery.
Confirm specifications, artwork approval, samples where needed, packing and delivery requirements. Product availability and lead times vary, so have these checked for the actual brief before committing to a launch date.
